If you are conversant with ResEdit, then it is very easy to change the sounds which ShutterBug uses to warn you that a photo is about to be taken. These sounds are stored in two resources of type 'snd '.
ID = 201 : Shutter sound - played when the photo is taken.
ID = 202 : Pre-photo warning sound - played 4 seconds before the photo is taken.
To change these sounds you must get a replacement sound resource from somewhere. You can use your mac's microphone to record one yourself (see Mac Users Manual).
• Open the ShutterBug application with ResEdit.
• Get the new sound as a 'snd ' resource and copy it into the desk scrap. (you may be able to open an existing sound with ResEdit select it, and use the Copy funtion.)
• Using RedEdit, Paste the new resource into the ShutterBug application.
• Use Get Resource Info to change the ID of the resource to 201 (Shutter Sound) or 202 (photo warning).
• Quit ResEdit and save the changes to ShutterBug.
• The new sound should now play at the appropriate time.
